Inner-City Computers & Consultants Inc. is Gary’s only computer retail and technology training center. Located in Gary, In, Inner-City Computers offers a variety of computer and technology services. In their state-of the-art computer labs they instruct using the latest technology available such as SmartBoards, Video Projectors, Video & Digital Cameras, DVD & VCR, along with networked computers with Internet access. Our courses are provided in three training configurations to meet the varying needs of the community. The first configuration is 6 hour Introduction or Refresher courses. These courses are designed to provide instruction to those who need basic introductory hands on instruction or those who have some familiarity but need instruction to brush up on their skills. We offer 6-hour “Introduction and Refresher” courses in:

- Networking Basics (LAN/WAN)
Our next training configuration is for those interested in Industry approved Certification training specifically Microsoft Office Specialist Certification (MOS) training. This training provides instruction designed to prepare students to take and pass the MOUS certification exams. These courses can extend up to 75 hours of training and assessment testing designed exclusively to train students for MOUS testing. These courses are:
- MS Word
- MS PowerPoint
- MS Excel
- MS Access
Finally our third training configuration is designed for those who desire Industry approved Certification training but need to start with the basics. This configuration is called “Certified Computer Literacy Training Program.” By design it will take the novice through a series of course work starting with computer basics through the Microsoft Office Suite preparing the student for certification training. This program runs for 6 months and includes over 144 hours of hands-on training intended to certify by Industry standards the student as “Computer Literate.” For students who want to continue for an additional 3 months of training to acquire Computer certification from Comptia we conjoin this course in the Certified Computer Literacy Training Program.
